The idea of being invisible is simultaneously one of our biggest desires, but also one of our biggest fears. On one hand we love the idea of a Harry Potter-style invisibility cloak, there is something compelling about being able to do stuff that no one else can see. But from another angle it is more scary… going through your whole life where no one ever sees you. In Genesis 16 we meet a woman who is invisible to the people around her, she is someone who is so mistreated, but then she is met by a messenger of the Lord.
