Safeguarding at The Globe Church

We want The Globe Church to be a safe and caring environment for everyone – no matter their background, age or situation. This helps to ensure that church remains a welcoming place for all people – children, young people and adults of all ages. We have a safeguarding policy. that reflects our practices and systems, ensuring that you know how we work to keep our church family safe.

We ask that any member of The Globe Church reads our safeguarding policy. This is where you will find key information, contacts and details. It’s not our job to decide whether something is a safeguarding issue or not; it’s our job to tell the right people, who have the ability to join all the dots, and who have the right to act to keep someone safe. However small it seems, sharing information to the right people in a timely way is at the heart of safeguarding.

Whether you are a regular attendee at The Globe Church or have had engagement with us in some other way, if you have a concern about the welfare or safety of someone linked to The Globe Church, we encourage you to use the ‘My Voice’ button below.  This allows you to log your concern (including anonymously if you need to do so) via the secure ‘My Voice’ platform so that it is only seen and shared with the appropriate officers at The Globe Church.

Report a concern with ‘My Voice’

This button is not for general complaints against staff members etc as we have other policies available on our website that are specifically for this type of concern. However, we will read all concerns raised and ensure that they are handed to the appropriate person.

You are free to leave an anonymous concern but please do bear in mind that the level of investigation we can undertake is limited when we are unable to understand the details of any allegation raised. We’d always encourage you to confidentially share your full details with us so that we can be thorough in responding and in our actions.

Remember: if you or someone else is at immediate risk, dial 999 at once. And as you try to help others, don’t put yourself in danger.

You can download the full safeguarding policy here.
