We thought that being a Christian would mean being on the winning side. Why is life so hard? Why is our mission so unsuccessful? Just like Daniel and the exiles we cry out: “God, what are you up to?” God’s answer is that Jesus, the Son of Man is sitting on the throne of heaven. He’s been given divine authority, is worshipped by the nations, and has an eternal throne. That’s what Jesus is up to, and that changes everything for us now.
