We’ve seen several signs so far in John’s Gospel, signs that John tells us reveals Jesus’ glory. We often fall into the trap of reading ourselves into one of the roles of the signs… What if the feeding of the 5,000 is about more than us bringing our loaves and fishes to Jesus, but Jesus teaching us so much more about who he is?
