On the night before Jesus died, his friends fled and left him all alone; he was confronted by an angry mob carrying weapons. Humanly speaking it was a painful time for Jesus and yet this displayed God’s glory all the more fully to show that it is only Jesus, Jesus alone who is the Messiah. It is Jesus ALONE who saves. It is not ‘I’ but ‘HE’.
