I went to church when I was young, and always had some sense that God loved me. As I grew up though, with no real sense of my sin, Jesus became more and more irrelevant.
When I was 18, I felt the Lord call me to himself. Around that time, I’d been asked to help at a church holiday club, so went along. There I felt a joy unlike anything I’d ever felt (1 Pet 1:8!), and a desire to serve the people around me without return.
It surprised me a bit that, going to university, I wasn’t completely fixed. I swore more than most of my friends. But He has been faithful to change me, and will be yet (1 Thess 5:24).
I’ve taken this year as a part-time MT to explore whether serving His church is something I should do as a vocation (I’ll do it either way!). I trained for six years as a classical musician (French horn, organ, piano); otherwise, I look forward to what the Lord has in store for me in that world of work.
When I’m not making music or working at Globe, you may find me exploring the countryside on a bike, attempting a recipe I maybe don’t have the skills or equipment for, or getting a bit too excited when Mo Salah runs down the wing.
