I’m a ‘London lad’ who has lived all my life in and around the capital. I love the place, its history and buildings, its variety and peoples. For 18 years, I worked in town as a Chartered Surveyor, having left school at 16. Val and I married in the 1970s, and in my mid 30s, I left my business to become one of the Pastors at Chessington Evangelical Church, where I had become a Christian in my late teens.
A heart for London led me to getting involved in establishing The London Men’s Convention 15 years ago. Helping start a new church on the South Bank was a natural progression after pastoring Chessington Church for 25 years. My current role as Training Director at the Fellowship of Independent Churches (FIEC) allows me to help identify, equip and resource men and women for gospel ministry.
I enjoy sports of all kinds, but participation has sadly given way to spectating – apart from golf and walking football! Chelsea FC have been a lifelong passion, but my greatest passion is being a follower of Jesus and wanting other people to know the joy of acceptance with him.
